Helping Students Learn Subjects Through English as an Additional Language is a 1-hour webinar, delivered by Sally Burbeary, that will seek to support participants with ideas, and best classroom practice, to support their students who are studying subjects in English when they do not have it as their first language. The main challenges will be outlined, along with specific examples of ideas to demonstrate how to reduce or remove language barriers to subject learning. It will be shown how participants can plan effectively to take language points into consideration. Strategies will be shared on how to overcome the key challenges in this situation.
